Training Manager (Sales) for Market Area Central Europe (m/f/d)

to design, implement, and continuously improve training and onboarding across the region within internal organization and dealer network.

About the role:

In this regional role, you will work closely with departments and stakeholders to identify training needs, develop practical learning solutions, and support managers in implementing and following up on training activities. You will report directly to Stephan Lais, VP Market Area Central Europe. The role has a clear commercial and sales training focus; technical training remains within the existing technical training organization.

You will play an important part in ensuring that employees have the knowledge, tools, and capabilities needed to succeed in their roles, while helping strengthen onboarding, training quality, and consistent working methods across the region.

The role suits a confident, energetic communicator who is comfortable delivering training sessions personally, facilitating groups, engaging with new people, and influencing stakeholders through collaboration, urgency, and initiative.

The position focuses on commercial and sales-related capability development within Market Area Central Europe and does not change the organizational responsibility for Technical Training.

You make a real impact:

  • Collaborate with departments and stakeholders to identify training needs and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Design and develop training programs for new hires and ongoing competence development.
  • Build and maintain a sustainable onboarding program.
  • Analyze existing work processes and contribute to the development of improved working methods.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with other Training Managers across Europe to share ideas, align ways of working, and benefit from a strong peer network.
  • Support managers with implementation, follow-up, and practical application of training activities.
  • Support train-the-trainer activities by helping trainers become more effective in their roles.
  • Deliver and facilitate training sessions personally, ensuring an engaging, practical, and business-relevant learning experience.
  • Contribute as a member of the Market Area Central Europe management team, bringing a training and capability development perspective to business priorities.
  • Act as the point of contact for external training providers.

You have a lot to offer:

  • A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience are required, preferably in areas such as Consultative Sales, Sales Training, Learning & Development, or related commercial functions.
  • Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of sales methodologies, adult learning principles (pedagogy and work science), and the ability to design, facilitate, and deliver impactful training programs that support business objectives and drive effectiveness.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into simple, digestible spoken and written concepts.
  • Experience and confidence in presenting, facilitating, and delivering training sessions to various audiences.
  • A strong commercial mindset, business drive, and the ability to connect training activities to market area goals and measurable impact.
  • A collaborative, influencing approach that helps managers, trainers, and employees embrace new skills and practical ways of working.
  • Adaptability to adjust training style to different adult learning needs, audiences, and business contexts.
  • Willingness to travel
  • English at business level and proficiency in German at native speaker level.

You get a lot in return:

  • Meaningful regional impact on employee development, onboarding, and ways of working.
  • Cross-functional and international collaboration to support business priorities and help strengthen learning culture and capability development in the organization.
  • A strong European Training Manager network for sharing best practices and solving challenges together.
  • 30 days of annual leave
  • Hybrid working: up to 2 mobile-working days per week after the 6-month probation period
  • Flexible working hours with up to two flex days per month
  • Subsidized lunch
  • Bike leasing with a €15 monthly employer contribution
  • Occupational pension scheme / direct insurance with employer subsidy
  • Height-adjustable ergonomic desks
  • Free on-site parking
