Location: Kansas City, MO (Hybrid – 3 days in-office)

Reports to: Vice President, Human Resources – Americas

About the Role

 

As a trusted advisor to business leaders, you will help drive organizational performance through effective people strategies. You will work closely with leaders across multiple functions to support employee relations, talent development, leadership coaching, workforce planning, succession planning, organizational design, and change management initiatives.

 

You will have the opportunity to influence key business decisions while helping DeLaval build a high-performing, engaged workforce capable of supporting our long-term growth objectives.

 

What You'll Do

 

Strategic Business Partnership

• Partner with business leaders to align people strategies with organizational goals.

• Provide coaching and guidance on leadership effectiveness, team dynamics, and organizational development.

• Support workforce planning and organizational design initiatives.

 

Employee Relations & Leadership Support

• Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters and workplace investigations.

• Assist leaders in addressing performance management, conflict resolution, and employee engagement challenges.

• Promote fair, consistent, and legally compliant employment practices.

 

Talent & Succession Management

• Facilitate talent review and succession planning discussions.

• Support the identification and development of high-potential talent.

• Partner with leaders to create meaningful development plans for employees and future leaders.

 

Organizational Effectiveness

• Lead and support change management initiatives.

• Use workforce metrics and HR analytics to identify trends and opportunities.

• Recommend solutions that strengthen organizational effectiveness and business performance.

 

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

• Partner with hiring managers on recruiting strategies and candidate selection.

• Support hiring efforts for professional, technical, and leadership positions.

• Ensure an exceptional candidate and onboarding experience.

 

What We're Looking For

 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field.

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including business partnering responsibilities.

• Strong employee relations and workplace investigation experience.

• Demonstrated ability to coach and influence leaders.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR best practices.

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.

• Ability to travel 10%

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting multi-site operations.

• Experience supporting Canadian operations.

• Experience with succession planning, leadership development, and organizational change initiatives.
