DeLaval is now looking for an Import/Export Analyst
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Import/Export Analyst to join our Planning & Logistics team. In this role, you will support and coordinate import and export operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and internal procedures. You will play a key role in managing documentation, monitoring shipments, and collaborating with logistics providers, customs brokers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to guarantee smooth and efficient operations.
As part of our Planning & Logistics organization, you will contribute to maintaining reliable supply chain flows, ensuring customs compliance, and supporting the timely movement of goods. You will be encouraged to identify opportunities for process improvements, enhance operational controls, and contribute to the continuous development of our international trade activities.
This position will be based in Jaguariúna, Brazil.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate import and export processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Prepare, review, and control import and export documentation.
- Monitor shipments and follow up with logistics service providers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers.
- Track costs, taxes, duties, and obligations related to foreign trade operations.
- Support communication and coordination with suppliers, government authorities, and internal departments.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to import and export activities.
- Ensure the proper execution and continuous improvement of foreign trade controls and processes.
- Support audits and compliance reviews by maintaining organized and accurate documentation.
Experience and Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related fields.
- Previous experience in import/export operations, logistics, or international trade activities.
- Knowledge of import and export procedures, customs regulations, and foreign trade documentation.
- Experience working with logistics providers, customs brokers, and freight forwarders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Spanish is considered an advantage.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ERP systems and international trade management tools.
- Knowledge of customs compliance, tax requirements, and trade regulations.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate, or AI-based tools to improve reporting and operational efficiency.
- Continuous improvement mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving.
