DeLaval is currently recruiting a motivated and customer-oriented Technical Support Specialist with multi-country responsibility (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) to join our team in Latvia.
Purpose of Role and Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will train and support end-users, DeLaval customers and DeLaval own field employees in identifying and solving technical problems of DeLaval barn environment systems in dairy farms. Primary product group is Manure Handling Systems (robotic and conventional) and secondary product group is Other Barn Environment systems. In this work, you will collaborate with various DeLaval teams locally and internationally.
- Identify technical knowledge gaps, plan and conduct technical training for DeLaval service technicians and other employees, as well as end-users (farm personnel) of DeLaval equipment;
- Monitor and support installation and commissioning of DeLaval equipment from a technical point of view;
- Collaborate with different DeLaval teams locally and internationally to solve technical issues;
- Participate in launch of new products (mainly technical training and technical support);
- Review / correct translated technical documentation (in Latvian).
Qualifications and Experience
Successful candidates will possess:
- University degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electronics, Electrical engineering or in another similar technical field;
- Good knowledge of the Latvian language (to be able to communicate freely with clients and to be able to review translation of technical documentation from English to Latvian). Knowledge of several
Baltic languages is seen as an advantage; - Good knowledge of English (to be able to communicate with DeLaval support functions in Europe and customers across the Baltics);
- Ability to effectively organize own daily work (be able to determine priorities of own work based on guidelines and actual situation);
- Good communication skills (be able to communicate with colleagues in DeLaval and technical staff of end-users, be able to influence priorities of colleagues);
- Readiness to travel on business within the geographical scope mentioned above;
- Valid B category driving license;
- Good computer skills;
- Experience in maintenance / fitting of industrial machinery and / or serving customers in agriculture is seen as an advantage.
