We are currently looking for a Chemical Category Sourcing Manager to join our Global Sourcing Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sourcing professional who enjoys building supplier partnerships, negotiating strategic agreements, and driving business value in an international environment.

As part of a global sourcing organization of more than 50 professionals located across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, you will play a key role in developing and executing sourcing strategies for the Chemicals Category across the EMEA region.

 

What You'll Do

  • Developing and implementing sourcing strategies for assigned chemical sub-categories
  • Managing strategic supplier relationships and acting as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers
  • Leading supplier negotiations and managing commercial agreements and contracts throughout their lifecycle
  • Delivering category KPIs, including cost savings, contract coverage, payment terms, quality, sustainability, and supplier performance
  • Monitoring supplier performance through established scorecards and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identifying strategic sourcing opportunities and collaborating with Product Management, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing teams
  • Driving supplier development and second-source initiatives to secure supply continuity and product compliance
  • Supporting new product introductions and product lifecycle management activities
  • Contributing to risk management and supply chain resilience within the Chemicals Category

 

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Sourcing, Procurement, Chemistry, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, or supply chain management
  • Experience working with chemical products, raw materials, or manufacturing environments is highly desirable
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Experience with contract management and supplier performance management
  • Good understanding of sourcing processes, cost analysis, and category management principles
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications
  • Professional proficiency in English
