We are looking for a Solution Architect to help shape DeLaval’s digital products and platforms. You will bridge business needs and technology to create scalable, secure and maintainable software solutions.
You will join the team behind DeLaval Plus, our digital platform supporting dairy farmers, service technicians, installers and many other users worldwide.
Working closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Scrum Masters, UX Designers, QA Engineers and Developers, you will help build and evolve the architecture behind DeLaval Plus, with a focus on equipment-related functionality, IoT-enabled services and device lifecycle support.
Role and responsibilities
As a Solution Architect, you will provide technical leadership across teams, ensuring architectural decisions support both current delivery needs and long-term business goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and evolve architecture principles, standards and technical guidelines
- Design scalable end-to-end solutions and product capabilities
- Guide teams in architectural decisions and technology choices
- Ensure security, performance, scalability and maintainability
- Manage architectural risks, dependencies and technical debt
- Drive alignment across teams and contribute to the technical roadmap and platform evolution
What You'll Be Doing
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX designers, Tech Leads and developers to shape future solutions
- Lead architectural discussions across teams, coach engineers and drive technical decision-making and alignment without formal authority
- Evaluate technologies, frameworks and integration approaches
- Design, document, and visualize architecture on right abstraction level for different stakeholders, including creating and maintaining key architecture artifacts.
- Support teams in designing and implementing robust solutions, promoting collaboration, quality and continuous improvement
- Balance business priorities, user needs and technical sustainability
Qualifications
We are looking for a Solution Architect with a strong background in software development and architecture, and experience designing scalable, business-driven solutions in complex environments.
To be successful in this role, we also believe that you have:
- Experience as a Solution Architect, Software Architect, or in a similar technical leadership role
- A strong understanding of modern software development, system architecture, and engineering practices
- Experience designing solutions across multiple systems, services, and technical domains
- Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, APIs, integrations, and event-driven solutions
- An understanding of security, authentication, authorization, scalability, reliability, and performance optimization
- Experience with CI/CD and modern development methodologies
You are a pragmatic and collaborative technology leader with a strong business mindset. You enjoy bringing people together, facilitating technical discussions, and helping teams navigate complex challenges. With the ability to communicate effectively across both technical and non-technical audiences, you build trust, create alignment, and support development teams in delivering solutions that balance business value with technical excellence.
